Guess what this is Jan. 4, 2012

Normally on Wednesdays, I post a close up photo at the top of my post of something I have seen lately and ask people to guess what it is. The following week, I post the answer at the bottom of the page and a new photo to guess on at the top of the page.

The idea is of ‘Guess what this is’, is to see things in a new way and maybe have some fun. Sometimes the guess is right, sometimes wrong but my favorite part is when someone makes a creative, unexpected or funny guess.

So if you would like to play take a look at the photo at the top of the page and make a guess on what you think it is. Please share you guess or a creative or funny comment. Come back next week on to see the answer and a new photo to guess on. There are no prizes :) just fun.

Here is this weeks photo… Guess what this is!

The answer to last weeks post is

acorn squash

I have noticed often if you looks at things to closely you become lost, but then again if you only look at the big picture, you miss the important details. Perhaps we need to gather information from both the ‘detail” and the “big picture” in order to fully understand.

To see other people play this game on my other blog and their guesses go to

  1. Hi Meg! Love your blog. This is a fun site that I will visit often.

    Thanks for visiting me, too!

PS – I think this might be celery.

  2. Celery.

  3. My guess is celery or a carrot stalk. I like these guessing games also.

    • I wish it was carrot cake but if it were, it would be an empty plate.:) Thanks for stopping in to play Jennifer and for leaving a guess.

  4. I knew it was a squash! Is this perhaps celery?
